Scale Division

of the Metro Marine Modellers…. Welcome!

What is Scale Building ?

All models constructed are a … “scale down”… version of a real ship. In model
a  Boat “Terms” –  Scale building is an acronym for the construction or assembly of
any model whether it’s a kit or from plans. The model is then “Fitted out” for Radio
controlled and operates on the water.

MMM Scale Division

At Metro Marine Modellers we construct models for fun to museum quality. Building a
model to work on the water is more about model engineering, having fun while we do it and
having a great day at the pond.

The Group meets at the Scale Captain’s house on Tuesday evenings during the winter season
and at the pond during the summer.  Due to the Traffic congestion in Toronto area, there are
several sites used in the summer.   See the “Where We Meet” menu for the closest pond to you.
You can always contact our Scale Captain at ScaleCaptain@metromarine.org

Below is a Project completer last year by one of our members
this of course is scratch built and took two years.
