Welcome Aboard ! to the World of Model Yachting
Powered by the wind, with sails trimmed and rudders set by remote control,
yachts of various classes race an Olympic course with all the excitement
of a full-size race boat.
Whether you are a racing rock star or someone who enjoys just cruising to air out your beautiful boat in the wind, this is for you.
We are enthused, committed radio-controlled model yacht sailors who meet regularly at the Humber Bay Park East in Toronto and at Douglas Kennedy Park on Lakefront Promenade in Mississauga. For more information please download our flyer
Radio Control Sailing has many classes of boats. In our club members have
a variety of craft that can be seen on Sunday mornings, Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings and evenings at one of our two sailing locations.
We also have enthusiasts who build scale models of famous sailing ships that are equipped with radio controls for sailing at the pond. Here is a copy of our Sailing Schedule for 2017.
Trying to decide on what boat to compete?
The American Model Yachting Association has a web page dedicated to Model Yacht Classes
explaining the different types of Sanctioned Racing Yacht classes.
The Canadian Radio Yachting Association posts a list of model classes and the boats
registered with them on their web site.
Our three “Competitive” yacht model classes are the Soling One Meter, the Victoria and the Dragon Force RG65.
The Sail Group also uses :”Yahoo Groups Message boards” for the latest up-to-date information on what is happening!
